What is San Andreas, California known for?
San Andreas is the county seat of Calaveras County and sits on Highway 49, the road that strings the Gold Country towns together. The county offices, the courthouse and the county museum are all here — the museum occupies the old courthouse where Black Bart was brought in 1883.
